After a couple of years I have re-created the entire NorthLink Website. In fact, here is a link to it: http://www.northlinkvirtual.com

Benefits:

It was a labor of love... not gettin' sappy ... just sayin'.. We have a great crew here and you guys deserved it..
We now have a registered domain name for the main site (as well as the cool multimedia gateway page)
This site uses HTML5 which is something I had hoped for for a long time as well as improved CSS
This site will support our "one-stop" interactive testing (Join, CATx Writtens, Recurrent training, AC based Chief pilot quizzes etc...)
It supports FAQ dynamic code
Numerous other benefits which will be evident soon

The new site is functional and can be used now. It has been tested in Firefox (two versions) IE as well as Droid and Apple smart phone OS. I recommend Firefox for your PC as it will display the VAFS add-on code without issues. (There is no rhyme or reason on IE6,7,8.... The plugins may work and may not) Mike is working on that...)

What is to come? All new web plug-ins that can be colored to the site... And add features!! New maintenance tools for Grizz... A cool FAQ feature for pilots who check us out. It is designed to cut through the chaff that many VA's offer.. I want pilots to know upfront what a charming and fun group we are.

For those who want, the page has been updated with all new interactive web-plugins, the "JOIN" feature is back, and a few other updates since last night. May have to refresh your browser to see changes.

I will keep everyone posted as I add more stuff.. still slightly a work in progress

Thanks Tim!! A couple more changes (additions) underway. Make sure to reload/flush your browser if looking for changes. I am working on FAQ's and another surprise... PLUS... the web add-ons appear to be working fine now with IE 6/7/8, All Firefox, and Chrome!! Wooo Hooo!

People at work thought I was off my rocker as I went office to office asking what Browser they used and could I borrow it for a minute...

Posted our new site on VAFS forums a few minutes ago. It will be interesting to see if we pick up any pilots or interest. Thanks is due to our current pilots who flew their tails off this month. We really show how active we are. Cross your fingers!

And as discussed in TS a few times, once I add our new promo video to the join page, I will alert you and begin a campaign of putting us in all of the VA related news sites. I also, if I can sport the money, place an add on two of the main flightsim sites...

Hang on to your hats... this will be new ground for us... Also, test development has begun. I humbly ask all the chiefs to think of quizzes... info tests, and other interactive things we can add to the learning page.. don't all have to be "tests," can be other creative tools for pilots. Send me your ideas in your area of responsibilty and we can work on these together.
