NOTAM:

Captains,

Please vote your preference regarding landing light penalties. Please be aware that some model files code this feature in differently and no matter what attention is given by the pilot they get a gig.

Please supply your vote.

Thank you

NOTAM:

The landing light penalty has been extinguished. The vote thus far was 100% in favor of shutting it off. The Pilots have spoken. It is now OFF. Please note "speed restrictions below 10K" still apply.

Thank you! I note that the manuals for some a/c with "retracts" called for a 30-second cooling period after turning the lights "off" before finally retracting them. I can see how "retracts" may have giver the programmers at VA Financials fits!

Thanks Jeff! I was getting gigged a bunch on several different aircraft with switch positions that apparently did not agree with VAFS, for whatever reason, at -3.25 points per hit. On cargo ops, that can really hurt a pilots' rating if you get popped on both ascent and descent... Very Happy

Most welcome Gents.... It was asl as well so airports like Denver made the light switch come on mighty soon... In fact how would this work in La Paz? Yikes

It is off and will remain off until VAFS5 treats all light switches equally LOL Laughing
